The Londoners in The Chap and their experimental avant rock might not be the usual material for Vincent Moon and his popular take away show concept. But at this years  SXSW in Austin he recorded The Chap performing “Fun & Interesting” from the “Mega Breakfast” LP.

Having way to much and way to heavy equipment to be strolling down streets and backalleys of the nearest town, they are filmed in a house with everything availiable.  What they dont have, they neatly replace by singing the soundeffects themselves. Super Super. And who doesnt love their fist-in-the-air dance routine? Good Good.

But what is The Chap?.. “Its Talking heads meets Monty Python” some say.. “Krauty goodness, added healthy dollops of Limey humor” others say. The fact is that The Chap, and their “Mega Breakfast” is one the most fun and interesting things 2008 gave us. Kraut Rock, pop, electronic and Johannes von Weizsäckers “non-sense” lyrics gives us a rather enjoyable 40 minute listen.
