Moving Brands has decided to let everyone take part in their pitch for the re-branding of London. With London organisations and government authorities like London Underground, Transport for London, The Mayor of London, the 2012 Olympics etc. all having different logos and marks, there are no united brand for the city, and London is having a bit of an identity crisis. Therefore, the brief, given by The Mayor of London, is to design a logo for London in the vain of the I ♥ NY mark for New York City, designed by Milton Glaser in the seventies. Moving Brands has decided to respond to the pitch by letting anyone make submissions and help them with their pitch. Moving Brands feels that the new logo should represent not just london, but also the people who live there. So if you have a great idea for the brand, or just want to follow the creative prosess of the creatives of Moving Brands, check out their A Brand For London Blog

nice.. bur the crown one’s still better.. this one reminds of a target, what is good if you look from the turism point of view and importance of the city on the map.. but does not bring out anything special about the city itself…
I agree, this seem to build on the cliché of Londons underground, eventho the author explains using the RAF logo as a refrence (Not really keen on the military reference either). But there are some good designs posted recently.. I love the “ONLY” and “LOVE” design, however i wish they could use something other than the underground symbol.
