Hp — Invent

Kingston University graduates Tom Wrigglesworth and Matt Robinson makes the prints come alive with Hp printers. In the video, “printers become an orchestra in an aesthetic symphony conducted by HP Workstations”, acording to Tom Wrigglesworth himself. The creative work won D&AD’s Student Yellow Pencil and Best New Blood award in July.

“Deadline”

Bang-Yao Liu made this clever stop-motion animation for a senior project at Savannah College of Art and Design.

Notte Sento

Daniele Napolitano Made this stop motion film out of over 4500 still images with a Canon 30D camera. A beautiful film about a young woman staying the night in Rome after the last train to Milan is cancelled.

Lawrence Cepstral — “Supernova”

Siggi Eggertsson adapts his stylistic illustration into moving images. The amimation combines the lyrics with some other outer space phenomena, suspiciously familliar with the Mac OS X “Flurry” screensaver. Nevertheless an impressive adaptation for the Icelandic illustrator.

Simian Mobile Disco — “Synthesise“

Simian Mobile Disco got a little help from Kate Moross and Alex Sushon to make the videos for two of their records, “Synthesise” and “1000 Horses Can’t be Wrong”. One projector, a couple of strobe lights, an empty warehouse and a bit of brilliance was all it took. Check out our previous post for “1000 Horses Cant Be Wrong” and a behind the scenes look.

The Presets — “If I Know You”

Directed by Eva Husson, the video for The Presets “If I Know You” is another beautiful film. Kids meet in the streets to dance their way through the day in this beautiful shot film for the Australian electro duo.

Part of the Weekend Never Dies Intro

Although it’s over a year old now, it still rocks my boat. Made by the French blog house  designer, So Me, for Soulwax’ Part of the Weekend Never Dies documentary.
