Delphic?

Delphic is an Electro band from Manchester. They make Trance influenced electro-pop and just released their debut LP “Acolyte” and i honestly don’t know if i like them or not. I’ve been listening to their stuff a bit lately and i do like “This Momentary”.  It’s probably one of their most round-edged songs and the bassline, even though it’s simple, really shows a lot of potential. And they can pull off some other quite catchy stuff now and then. Like “Counterpoint”. It has a very good, catchy vocal, but it’s surroundings is too blush and humble. With i bit more power and adrenaline though, it would shurely have been a killer. And that is a reaccuring theme throughout their material. Most of it has potential to become great tunes, but fall through with an uninteresting composition and a bit pale melodies.

Thats why I’m cought in a bit of a crossroad: should i give them money, effort and the benefit of the doubt and go to the record shop, or is it not worth it?

The fact that form to follow favourites Non-Format collaborated with Jake Walters on the cover might help the decision tip in the Manchester band’s favour
