The Shins’ James Mercer and Gnarls Barkleys Danger Mouse has teamed up to form Broken Bells. the two are set to release the self titled LP march 9th.
Beeing a Shins fan I have waited for something new from these guy for a good while now. But it looks like the unresolved issues within the band might be the start of the end of the band that released the brilliant “Wincing the night away” a couple of years ago. (although he stated new shins material will be produced but not see the light untill 2011) At least, front man James Mercer has taken a break from the band and it lead to a collaboration between him and Danger Mouse.
After listening to the released single “The High Road” I cant wait to hear more from these guys.
