Röyksopp is, according to their own website, releasing their next album in August. “Senior” was supposed to be out already, in April to be exact, but because of a bit of fuzz with the record companies, it has been postponed. In their own words: “As you all know, record companies have been having an ‘interesting’ time lately, to say the least. Because of this, to ensure the best possible release scenario for Senior, we have gone through many changes on exactly who we’re releasing it with.”
Better late than never and safe than sorry. Hopefully the record will be well worth the wait. It will apparently be, as Svein Berge puts it, “the senile sibling of “Junior” who lives in the attic”. A more withdrawn album with an Autumn feel.
I heard about this strange brother of Junior about a year and a bit ago now, and wasn’t actually sure it was a real thing. Considering the interviewer, an Oslo blog prone for writing bullshit, I was taking it all with a pinch of salt. But it seems now that it is actually happening, which of course makes me very glad. Anticipation is already rising.
Should be good.

wats up man hows it going
