Oh no! One of my favourite design magazine Grafik has been put to sleep by their publishing company. Grafik has been a great source of inspiration for many years and I was sad to hear the news.

2010 has been pretty good so far, musicwise. Cool disco cuts from Lindstrøm, Chilly synth pop from Beach House, dancy electro from Two Door Cinema Club and unpretensious pop from Ellie Goulding ++. But its only the beginning of april and there are still tons of acts to look forward to. Here are some of the things to look out for.

After visiting Rough Trade in London I came across this new act (to me anyways) described as beautifull and ghostly with fragile, hushed vocals and I immediately came to think of personal favourite Lykke Li. So I snatched a copy unlistened.

Christmas is just around the corner, and I guess Hans Petter Lindstrøm is getting in the christmas spirit. Pitchfork announced a couple of days ago that Lindstrøm is to release an 40 minute long epic space disco rework of ” little drummer boy”.

Texan Alan Palomo and his Lo-Fi Synth pop project Neon Indian released “Psychic Chasms” mid october to great reviews. The heavily 80’s influenced album can be mentioned alongside the likes of Cut Copy,Chromeo and MGMT.

Finally we can hear something new from James Murphy and LCD Soundsystem.Their new track “Bye Bye Bayou” is a cover of Alan Vega/Suicide and its not going to be on their new album set to release early 2010. However it might be a taste of what to come.
