The third part of this more or less regular column. The videos that caught our attention since the last collection includes a bit more varied stuff. The new Kings of Convenience video, a bit of animated identity work by Buro Knapzak and lots of other inspiering and cool clips.

New Release From Fever Ray

Fever Rays next single from the album “Seven” is due for release October 5th. It will include remixes by Crookers, Martyn, CSS, Marcel Dettmann, Seth Troxler and Nick Chacona. A limited edition 7″ is also out. It contains two covers. “Stranger than Kindness” by Nick Cave and Anita Lane and “Here Before” by Vashti Bunyan.

Darren Solomon from Science for Girls made this clever website full of embedded youtube videos. “Play these together, some or all, start them at any time, in any order” and you can have controll over your own youtube orchestra. A fun and creative way of recycling online video sharing.

Friendly Fires extends

Friendly Fires released a new single and an expanded version of their debut album, “Friendly Fires”, yesterday. “Kiss of Life” is the single, and judging by its sound, Vampire Weekend and their heavily African infused Indie-pop has had a big influence on the Indie scene since last year.

The Londoners in The Chap and their experimental avant rock (as some call it) might not be the usual material for Vincent Moon and his popular take away show concept. But at this years SXSW in Austin he recorded The Chap performing “Fun & Interesting” from the “Mega Breakfast” LP.

Today its the UK release for Arctic monkeys new album “Humbug”. The Sheffield boys has got a bit of help from Queens of the Stoneages Josh Homme on this one and they are set to top their to previous releases “Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not” and “Favourite Worst Nightmare”.
